Dear Sloane,
Sorry I've missed a few weeks! You're growing up so fast, and I just want to capture every moment! Two weeks ago you turned 8 months old, and I missed that post, so here are your eight month photos!
At eight months old, you love to blow raspberries, so your dad nicknamed you Raz/Razzy. I call you Raz-ma-taz! You love pulling on mom's hair, lounging back and looking at things upside down, and talking (baby talk). You do not love, having your face washed after you eat or getting your clothes changed. Each day you get more beautiful and precious to us!
Now, the big excitement from this week is we celebrated your first Halloween!!! I LOVE Halloween, and I hope someday that you do too!
It was hard to decide what your first costume should be, but since your Grandma calls you "monkey," we thought that would be perfect.
Getting you dressed in your costume was not easy! You cried and fussed; I was worried I'd have to take it right off. But your Grandma and Pappy were over for the fun, so they soon cheered you up and we were able to have a mini photo session in the front yard.
Once we'd taken the photos, it was time to start trick-or-treating! We only took you to two houses, but you held your usual inquisitive face, taking in the experience. I held you, and you held your little trick-or-treat bag. It was fairly adorable; all of our neighbors thought so too! After your trick-or-treating adventures, you were ready to exit your costume, so I slipped you into pjs and added your cat ears for the occasion! I said that you were "the cat's pajamas!" Then our night was filled with passing out candy to trick-or-treaters, having dinner and drinks with your grandparents, and standing outside to watch all of the evening's fun!
It was a perfect first Halloween! I can't wait to celebrate again next year.
Love,
Mom Mom
P.S, I let you chew on the outside of the Kit Kat wrapper, but babies can't have Halloween candy, silly!
